NUR Restaurant Lounge

Another outstanding lunch experience at this gem of a restaurant, which stands head and shoulders above a raft of others in central Hastings. Decked with style and colour, with vibrant paintings adorning the walls, and a table decor to die for, you might expect the food to perhaps fall short, ordering from the fixed lunch menu, but this was absolutely not the case. A very moreish hummus starter was followed by a pork stew that was sublime. Complete steal at 10.50 for two courses, in such a setting you’d want to put your feet up, kick back, and sip their frothy coffee for the rest of the afternoon listening to the perfectly amplified slow jazz. Relaxed, aesthetic, super friendly and laid back, Nur boasts authentic Armenian cuisine that I imagine you could work your way through over the months and never be disappointed. My only surprise is that it’s not packed, with people hanging from the rafters, and coaches rocking up outside. It even has the feel of an art gallery. As long as Nur is here in Hastings, it will be a fixed star in my galaxy. Highly recommended.

Once I came in it felt like home. Everything - food, interior, people is absolutely divine. Had my first khachapuri there and now I feel very sorry to discover such a beautiful place in my last day in town.Next time I’m coming here - going straight to NUR! Sending love from Ukraine

Absolutely amazing food and such friendly staff! My parents stumbled upon NUR while in Hastings for the weekend and liked it so much that they returned with my extended family the next day. A wide ranging menu that catered to a variety of needs, massive portions too. I had the beef stroganoff and would highly recommend it. Steaks and pasta also looked great. Really recommend a visit if you are in the area.

The best Armenian dining experience I've had in the UK - two vegetarians dined like queens here. Our starter was unlike any vegetarian platter we'd ever had but it all worked so well. They also had delicious Georgian Saporavi red wine to drink. Highly recommend!

Really lovely Armenian food, seafood basket, mushroom stroganoff are really good. Especially the Armenian red wine, have to try! Staffs are very very friendly.

The food was absolutely amazing, smells and tastes beautiful! The restaurant is lovely inside, very comfortable chairs, and the staff are so friendly!! I can’t wait to come and try the lunch menu.

Lovely Armenian restaurant. Beautifully decorated with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are helpful and friendly. The food is very good. We had the two course lunch at 10.95 which was amazing value for money.

We were greeted warmly by our welcoming host who was clearly passionate about her cuisine... and art.We loved the cheerful decor and eclectic art collection on display.A three course dinner was much enjoyed as every plate was delicious. Highly recommended
